What is a Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)?
A: An FCE is an intensive evaluation focusing on physical tolerance abilities related to strength, endurance, speed and flexibility.
How do I know if I need an FCE?
A: This is case dependent. Please contact us for a no cost review of your file to help determine your needs.
When is the best time to schedule an FCE after an injury?
A: The best time is probably when there are questions regarding capacity to return to work and/or when maximum medical recovery has been reached.
What is a cost of care evaluation?
A: Comprehensive analysis of services, treatment/rehabilitation efforts, assistive devices and supplies that an individual may require or benefit from in order to promote a quality of life as close as possible to that which they enjoyed prior to the subject injuries.

How much are Kinesiology Services?

How long is a typical exercise program?
A: This depends on client and the goal of the exercise program. An initial assessment is necessary to determine a more precise guideline but typically programs range from 2-3 sessions/week for 4-6 weeks at 60-120 minutes per session before re-evaluation.
Which clients need a Kinesiologist supervised exercise program?
A: Any clients where an exercise program has been recommended by a health professional (Orthopaedic Specialist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Family Doctor etc.)
What if my client has been recommended for an exercise program but the insurance company will not authorize funding?
A: If the insurance company will not pay for an exercise program we can still work with your client based upon the Exercise Program recommendations that have been made. Payment arrangements can be made directly with the referral source. Direction to Pay Services may also be available upon request.
